Andy Oliver gave up five hits of 5 2/3 scoreless innings to move to 3-1 on the season. He did have some control issues with four walks, but also had eight strikeouts. Brad Eldred went 1-for-4 with his 15th home run. Eric Patterson went 2-for-4 with a triple and a run scored. Zach Miner gave up just one walk over the final 3 1/3 innings to record the save.

15-17, &-3rd in Eastern Division

Niuman Romero hit a solo home run in the fifth to break a 4-4 tie and Erie went on to win. Romero went 1-for-4.Zack Segovia gave up four earned runs over five innings, but picked up the win. Jordan Lennerton and Rawley Bishop each went 2-for-4 with a run scored. Jamie Johnson went 0-for-3 with two RBIs, partly because Altoona committed four errors.

High-A Lakeland Flying Tigers
17-15, T-2nd in North Division

Brian Flynn gave up one earned run on five hits over six innings to move to 7-1 on the season. Luis Castillo went 3-for 4 with a double, an RBI and a run scored. Nick Castellanos went 1-for-3 with a double, two RBIs and a run scored. Bruce Rondon pitched a scoreless ninth for the save.

Low-A West Michigan Whitecaps
16-18, 5th in Eastern Division

Melvin Mercedes allowed an inherited runner to score in the top of the ninth and the Loons held on for the win against West Michigan. Tim Kelley moved to 0-5 on the season after recording the loss. Eugenio Suarez went 2-for-3 with a double, an RBI and a run scored. Chad Wright went 1-for-4 with a double and a run scored.
